In 2006, Microsoft released a unified communications strategy; followed by the October 2007, Microsoft officially released the unified communications platform program, which is 2007, one of Microsoft’s most important release. Microsoft’s unified communications philosophy is based on the employees (users) as the communication center, ignoring the access methods, all communications-related work into a unified platform, integrated into people’s daily workflow. As a result, Microsoft’s unified communications solution incorporates a software-centric strategy that integrates multiple communications such as VoIP telephony, email, instant messaging, mobile communications, and audio / video web conferencing
