日本学者山崎根据压电效应制作了一种高灵敏度的可变电阻计,在东京附近用67赫频率对电阻作了十多年的观测。观测资料清楚地显示出固体潮和与强震同步的电阻值突跳,有时在地震前(3—4小时)还出现短临电阻变化。这种变化具有“放大”效果,其电阻的相对变化Δρ/ρ比附近石英应变计记录的地壳相对变形量ΔL/L 大致高10~4倍。山崎等人认为这种“放大”作用是由于多孔的火山砾凝灰岩具有非常高的压电灵敏度所致。文章对此分析了湿饱和岩石中一些异常压电现象的性质,对
Yamazaki, a Japanese scholar, made a high-sensitivity variable resistance meter based on the piezoelectric effect and made observations of resistance for more than a decade at a frequency of 67 Hz near Tokyo. Observations clearly show solid tides and sudden jumps in resistance in synchronism with strong earthquakes, and sometimes short-term resistance changes before earthquakes (3-4 hours). This change has the effect of “amplification”, and the relative change of resistance Δρ / ρ is approximately 10 to 4 times higher than the relative deformation amount ΔL / L recorded by the nearby quartz strain gauge.
