During the immune response, peripheral blood T cells develop distinctly different subsets that mediate a cellular immune response and regulate the humoral immune response by secreting specific cytokines. Recent data indicate that CD8 + T cells, which have long been considered as pure cytotoxic cells, play an active role in the immune response. This article MikeKemeny and colleagues proposed. There are different subsets of CD8 + T cells that produce different combinations of cytokines. And plays an important role in determining the types of cytokines produced by CD4 ~ + T cells and the phenotype of immunoglobulin expressed by B cells.
