提起机关公文,不少拟写者厌倦,认为没写头;更多的阅读者皱眉,认为没看头。这倒使我想起1942年毛泽东同志在延安干部会上所作的《反对党八股》的讲演中列举的党八股的罪状。其中的“空话连篇,言之无物”、“语言无味,象个瘪三”、“甲乙丙丁,开中药铺”,倒是言中了我们当今公文中的一个十分严重,却又未被充分认识的问题。这就是缺少文采,甚至根本没有文采,成了当今公文的一个通病。为什么55年前毛泽东同志指出的问题,今天重又出现呢?这有多方面的原因:

This is the lack of literary talent, or even no literary talent, has become a common problem in today’s official document. Why did the problems pointed out by Comrade Mao Zedong 55 years ago appear again today? There are many reasons for this:
