1月6日晚8时30分,位于上海市沪南路2000号的上海农产品中心批发市场发生严重火灾,过火面积约4000平方米,起火区域内有117家商铺,一场大火不仅将许多商户辛苦一年的成果全部吞噬,还酿成5人死亡12人受伤的惨剧。事故发生后,上海市委、市政府高度重视,要求有关方面全力做好抢险及善后工作,依法彻查事故原因,消防部门也迅速开展火灾隐患排查整治工作。
