从人性的本原来看,曹雪芹的“各自性情不同”说指出了人性是由宇宙之气相磨相荡化育而来,其核心是人的本质问题,而其延展则是社会政治伦理的建构。“各自性情不同”说的不足之处主要表现在其理论基础是抽象的先验的理性原则,根本不可能解决现实社会中存在的日益激化的社会矛盾。这是曹雪芹的悲哀之处,这种历史局限性是他所生活的时代造成的,因而也是无法避免的。
