领导干部能否做到清正廉明,与办公室秘书的工作也有一定关系。一方面,办公室秘书作为领导的随从人员,有维护领导形象和威信的职责;另一方面,领导同志在政务活动中,有些具体事情都由秘书出面办理。在此过程中,办公室秘书对协助领导廉洁从政,具有不可忽视的作用。今年,湖南省桃江县委办公宣干部从四个方面协助县委领导廉洁从政,收到了良好的效果。一是轻车简从,便餐简陪,刹住吃喝风。县委领导下基层检查工作,跟随领导的秘书事先都跟接待单位“约法三章”:一是拒绝多人作陪;二是拒绝烟酒、水果、饮料招待,开餐不准超过“四菜一汤”,超标准一律端掉;三是拒收各种名目的礼品。由于跟随秘书把关较严,县委领导下基层,一般只有1～2人作陪,均吃便餐,一律取消了烟酒饮料和水果招待。由于县委领导带头作出了样子,有效地刹住了吃
