新田井田位于黔西县城北东部,属甘棠镇管辖。探矿权井田东西长约8km,南北宽约4.6km,面积35.87km2。根据矿区需要分两期建设,矿井一期范围面积11.38km2,开采深度+1462.9m~+840m标高,全井田内,获得的煤层硫分≤3%的查明资源总量(含断层煤柱)为22556万t。该项目整体按120万吨/年生产规模进行开发建设,工业场地位于长坡西北部,采用斜井单水平开拓,设主、副、风井三个井筒,水平标高+865m。同步建设矿井原煤生产系统,同期建设洗煤厂。矿井一期服务年限56a,投产井巷工程量16203.6m。
