由于镁合金的固有特点:比重小(约1.7g/cm~3)、比强度高、弹性模量大(约44GPa)、消震性好、能承受比铝合金更大的冲击载荷(适合于制造剧烈震动的构件)以及易于用表面氧化方法进行防腐保护,故其制品在航空、航天、仪表仪器及采掘机械等工业部门获得了广泛的应用。为了满足各工业部门的发展需要而研制开发的镁合金压延材料,归纳起来大致有如下几大类。
