The Middle East Railway is the product of the tsarist invasion of China policy. It has important military and strategic significance for Czarist Russia. After the October Revolution, the Soviet Union always took control and right of use of the Middle East Railway and refused to return it to China for its own interests. On September 18, 1931, Japan reduced its military and economic role in occupying Northeast China and Middle East Road. To avoid any clashes with Japan, the Soviet Union sold Middle East Road to Japan’s puppet Manchukuo. Soviet forces withdrew from the northeast. So, after the October Revolution, how did the Soviet Union control the Middle East Railway? Why abandon it again?
