The historical materialism linked with Marx’s name is fundamentally different from the speculative historical view represented by Hegel. The establishment of historical materialism has realized the revolution of methodology. Specifically, historical materialism insists on proceeding from the realistic premise, adhering to the theory of historical formation mediated by practice and upholding the subjective dimension of humanistic concern.
