Objective To investigate the application of multislice CT angiography (CTA) in the diagnosis of chronic and stenosis of head and neck artery. Methods 42 patients with suspected chronic stenosis of head and neck artery were examined by multislice CT angiography (CTA). The bilateral vertebral artery (VA), bilateral common carotid artery and internal carotid artery (ICA) and brain (CPR), volume rendering (VR), maximum density projection (MIP) and other post-treatment were combined with the original images for the anterior cerebral artery (ACA), middle cerebral artery (MCA) and posterior cerebral artery (PCA) analysis. Results 42 cases of arterial reconstructed images were characterized by atherosclerosis, stenosis and occlusion. Among them, 17 cases were confirmed by DSA. Conclusions Multi-slice spiral CT angiography (CTA) can directly display the abnormal changes of arteries and provide valuable diagnostic information about the location, degree and collateral circulation of vascular stenosis. It can guide clinicians to choose the best treatment plan and observe and judge the curative effect Has very important meaning.
