允许多个协作同时运行是用户和应用对计算机支持的协同工作（ＣＳＣＷ）支撑环境的基本要求，但这一要求使支撑环境的管理和控制变得十分复杂。另外，多数ＣＳＣＷ支撑环境中未能较好地支持带实时多媒体组通信的同步交互功能。提出的高性能ＣＳＣＷ系统支撑环境模型，将管理与控制功能分开，并采用ＯＳＩ的管理者／代理（Ｍａｎａｇｅｒ／Ａｇｅｎｔ）模式管理支撑环境中协作和资源。模型中引入多媒体多点传输、资源管理、连接控制等功能模块以支持带服务质量（ＱＯＳ）保证的多媒体通信。还介绍了基于异步传输模式（ＡＴＭ）网络和工作站实验平台的ＣＳＣＷ支撑环境原型系统ＡＴＭ－ＣＳＣＷＥｎｖ的设计和实现。
Allowing multiple simultaneous concurrent operations is a fundamental requirement of users and applications for a Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) support environment, but this requirement complicates the management and control of the supporting environment. In addition, most CSCW hosting environments do not properly support synchronous interaction with real-time multimedia group communication. The high performance CSCW system supporting environment model is proposed, which separates the management and control functions and uses OSI’s Manager / Agent model to manage the collaboration and resources in the supporting environment. The model introduces functional modules such as multimedia multi-point transmission, resource management and connection control to support multimedia communication with quality of service (QOS) guarantee. The design and implementation of prototype system ATM-CSCWEnv based on Asynchronous Transfer Mode (ATM) network and workstation experiment platform are also introduced.
