Objective To investigate the relationship between the chronic infection of chronic HCV infection and the changes of interleukin (IL) family cytokines. Methods Blood samples were collected from 40 patients with chronic HCV infection and healthy subjects. The levels of IL-2, IL-4, IL-5, IL-6, IL-12 and IL- Results The levels of IL-2, IL-5 and IL-18 (pg / m L) in HCV infected and healthy subjects were 0.28 ± 0.44 vs 1.37 ± 1.36, 75.83 ± 37.22 vs 43.78 ± 34.45, 633.17 ± 174.75 vs 122.47 ± 32.25 (P <0.05). Conclusion Both Th1 and Th2 cytokines are involved in the process of chronicity of HCV. IL-2, IL-5 and IL-18 may play a role in the process of chronic HCV infection.
