Intermittent therapy is one of the commonly used methods of tuberculosis chemotherapy. The principle is to make bacteria exposed to some anti-TB drugs, with the drug concentration increases, which can be bactericidal effect from bacteriostatic. After a certain period of exposure, bacteria that have not been killed will have some delay in their growth. The longer the exposure, the longer the delay of growth. However, although intermittent therapies in a larger dose, but the effective exposure time is not long, not the next time medication, some live bacteria may have started to grow, which may be some intermittent therapy is not ideal one of the reasons.
