汕头市市委宣传部、汕头市文化局为了让广大的市民们过上一个欢乐、祥和、喜庆的春节,以广场文艺、社区文艺、企业文艺和校园文艺等几个板块为表现主体,开展了以宣传“新形象新汕头”为主题的、有地方特色和反映积极向上的时代精神的群众性的大型文艺宣传活动。 今年2月9日晚,汕头市市委宣传部和汕头市文化局主办的汕头市春节晚会在林百欣国际会展中心隆重地拉开了帷幕。同时,市区内也在各大广场纷纷举办形式多样的广场文化艺术活动。这些活动以人们喜闻乐见的形式与群众见面,如河南开封的盘鼓、河北吴桥的杂技及灯谜竞猜、木偶戏等
