《Med Post》1983;19(21):1.
MedPost 1983; 19 (21): 1. Detroit, USA: A San Francisco team successfully performed the laser in vivo on 3 patients undergoing coronary revascularization in Toulon, France for the first time. This progress was followed by the first successful use of lasers to remove the occlusion of two patients’ femoral arteries. As a result, one patient originally planned for amputation at Stanford Medical Center is still walking on both legs. At the Fifth International Laser Medicine and Surgery Conference in Detroit, Daniel S J Choy, who served in two hospitals in San Francisco and New York, reported on the French study.
