五四时期女性解放运动高涨,舆论阵地女权声音强劲,教育向女性全面开放,女性在社会舞台上展现英姿,在此背景下,女性文学如雨后春笋,生机勃勃。女性文学或浓墨重彩地描写女性的凄苦命运与勇敢抗争,或曲径通幽地表现女性的独特感受与感情涟漪,与此同时,也有的作品旨在解剖病态女性的阴暗面。五四时期的女性文学,虽然仍有稚嫩青涩之处,但在形象化、个性化的艺术表现上大大超越了近代,意象丰盈,清新可喜,生动感人,足以在艺术宫殿登堂入室。
During the May Fourth Movement, the women’s liberation movement was on the rise. The voices of women’s rights in public opinion positions were strong. Education was fully open to women and women showed their heroic attitude on the social stage. In this context, the literature of women sprang up and flourished. Women’s literature or the most vivid description of women’s miserable fate and brave struggle, or the winding path to express the unique feelings and emotions of women ripples, while others are aimed at anatomizing the dark side of sick women. In the May 4th period, the female literature, although still young and tender, has greatly surpassed the modern art in its visualization and individuality. Its image is rich, fresh and gratifying, and vivid enough to enter the palace of art.
