公路工程设计使用周期长,特别是高速公路沥青路面的设计使用寿命一般为15年。但通常在通车短期内(5年~6年)就会发生不同程度的损坏,即早期损坏。沥青路面中出现的早期损坏现象主要有路面纵横向裂缝、网裂、坑槽等,这些损坏最终将影响整个路面的使用寿命。施工中应用土工格栅能有效地减少或缓解由旧路面对沥青加铺层的反射裂缝或半刚性基层对沥青面层的反射裂缝,预防和防止路面出现早期损坏。
