In order to study the hardenability of nodular cast iron used to manufacture crankshafts and camshafts, the authors studied the effects of general ductile iron and low-alloy ductile iron (Cu 0.2-0.3%) on the microstructure, X-ray, dilatometer, 0.15 to 0.3% Ni, 0.15 to 0.28% V, 0.15 to 0.3% Mo).
