在美国诗歌历史上,格温多琳·布鲁克斯是一位不容忽视的诗人。她是美国黑人女作家中第一个获得普利策奖的诗人,在美国诗歌界起着举足轻重的作用。布鲁克斯深受黑人艺术运动的影响,是黑人女权主义的支持者,所以她的作品大多探讨现实问题,比如种族歧视,社会不公等。她关注最多的就是黑人女性的命运问题。这篇论文主要探讨她的一首代表作品《厨房公寓》,在这首诗里作者再一次讨论了黑人女性问题。透过这首诗,我们得以了解布鲁克斯笔下特有的美国色彩。
In the history of American poetry, Gwandolin Brooks is a poet who can not be ignored. She is the first poet in the United States of America to receive the Pulitzer Prize and plays a decisive role in American poetry. Brooks is deeply influenced by the black art movement and is a supporter of black feminism. Therefore, most of her works explore realistic issues such as racial discrimination and social injustice. She is most concerned about the fate of black women. This essay focuses on one of her representative works, The Kitchen Apartment, in which the author once again discussed the issue of black women. Through this poem, we can understand the unique American color of Brooks.
