Objective To explore the relationship between pressure and sleep condition and fatigue status of the soldiers who were rapidly stepping into the plateau, and to analyze the intermediary role and regulation effect of sleep status on perceived stress and fatigue status. Methods The method of convenient sampling was used to extract 700 soldiers who were in the first rush into the plateau. The survey was conducted using the “Perceived Stress Scale”, “Sleep Self-rating Scale” and “Fatigue Scale-14”. The intermediary role is analyzed by structural equation model, and the adjustment effect is analyzed by stratified regression. Results The fatigue scores of soldiers who participated in recreational activities were lower than those who did not participate in recreational activities frequently (P <0.01). The fatigue scores of soldiers with training injuries were higher than those without training (P <0.01) The total score was higher than the training expectations and indifference (P <0.01). Sleep status, overloading sensation and training expectation all had significant predictive value on the fatigue status of the first soldiers entering the plateau rapidly (P <0.01). Sleep status had a complete mediating effect between predictive power, overloading sensation and fatigue status (P <0.01), and sleep status had a regulatory effect between control feeling, overloading sensation and fatigue status (P <0.01). Conclusions There is a close relationship between perceived stress and sleep status and the fatigue status of the soldiers who were rapidly stepping into the plateau. Sleep status has an intermediary effect and a regulatory effect between overloading and fatigue status.
