1998年3月10日22点,随着试飞飞机历经11个起落落地的轰鸣声传来,宣告了双流国际机场临时跑道的试飞圆满成功。这次试飞针对机场地空通信设备、导航设施、助航灯光工作的情况,以及跑道道面、滑行线路、机动区标志的标绘、设置情况进行了认真的检验,同时验证了各跑道方向的进、离场飞行程序,ILS、VOR、NDB等各种仪表进近程序、目视进近程序。并检查了飞行区内障碍物和机场周围净空情况,及机场保障飞行的各种设施配备及其运行情况。通过6小时35分和11个起落的试飞,民航西南管理局对成都双流国际机场临时跑道作出了:飞行程序、运行标准合理、可行,导航设施工作非常有效,净空符合规范要求,灯光系统效果良好,道面平整度、粗造度符合技术标准,总体上是符合适航标准的结论。
