利用高温等离子弧加热切削是七十年代发展起来的新技术,目前,英国处于领先地位,我国正在试验研究和初步应用这一新技术。这种加工方法的主要特点是适用于高硬度、高强度和一般刀具不能切削的工件,同时还可提高切削工效,如加热切削高锰钢工件,可提高效率10倍多,加热切削钴基合金粉末(Co—A)喷焊层(HRC=56~59),提高效率8倍左右。
