This paper aims to give a detailed comparative transitivity analysis of the English and Chinese versions of the beginning part in “The ￡1,000,000 Pound Bank-note” within the framework of Systemic Functional Grammar. Comparative features in transitivity system between the two versions will be analyzed in detail.
