荣格的《集体无意识的概念》一文中认为原型是一个和集体无意识有关的,密切联系的概念,它暗示着似乎时时处处存在于心理上的某些确定形式。原型是人类长期的心理积淀中未被直接感知到的集体无意识的显现。《德伯家的苔丝》运用了多个《圣经》中的原型,这些原型的应用使这部小说更加迷人,同时也更加突出了小说悲剧性的主题。
Jung’s article “The concept of collective unconsciousness” argues that the archetype is a closely connected notion of collective unconsciousness that implies some definite form of psychology that appears to exist everywhere from moment to moment. Prototypes are the collective unconscious manifestations of human long-term psychological accumulation that are not directly perceived. Tess of the Dübe family uses multiple archetypes in the Bible, and the application of these archetypes reinforces the novel and at the same time highlights the tragic theme of the novel.
