There are many different types（类型、种类）of traditional （传统的）peras in China.Beijing Opera （Peking Opera） is the most famous one.
中国有许多不同类型的传统戏剧，其中京剧是最著名的一种。
Beijing Opera is a comprehensive（综合的）performing art. It combines（结合）singing， dialogue， monologue（独白）， martial arts（武术）， acrobatics（杂技）and mime（哑剧）together.
京剧是一门综合性的表演艺术。它结合了唱歌、对话、独白、武术、杂技和哑剧。
There are four types of main（主要的）roles（角色）in Beijing Opera. They are

Roles are classified（分类）by the age and personality（性格）of the characters（人物）.
角色按照人物的年龄和个性进行分类。
Facial makeup（脸谱）is very important in Beijing Opera. It shows the role’s personality by using different colors. The basic colors used in modern（现代的）Beijing Opera painted faces are red，purple， black， white， blue， green， yellow，pink， gray， gold， and silver.
脸谱在京剧中是非常重要的。它用不同的颜色来表达人物的个性。现代京剧的基本色彩是红、紫、黑、白、蓝、绿、黄、粉、灰、金和银。
In Beijing Opera， actors must follow many acting rules on stage， such as how to sit down，take a step（邁步），open a door， ride a horse， row（划）a boat， and so on.
在京剧中，演员必须遵守许多表演规则，比如如何坐下来、如何迈步、开门、骑马、划船，等等。
