The United States Navy and Air Force Nellis AFB, Nevada, conducted a very unusual combination of experiments and looked forward to claiming the tactics of the latter decade of fighter jets, the head sensitivity of SAMs and aircraft avionics. A $ 55 million pilot program covers the identification of air-to-air interceptor missiles and air battle identification, abbreviated as the AimVal / Aceval plan. The project is being conducted at Nellis Air Force Base, located ten miles north of the city, for Cubic’s air-mobile maneuver test system, which provides true air-to-air missile training through the launch of simulated missiles.
