This paper discusses the implementation scheme and network architecture of Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) technology for optical fiber co-axial hybrid (HFC) networks, analyzes its technical advantages and impact on system performance, and discusses the expected future The three key technologies in development are Narrowcast technology, multi-service transmission technology of DWDM on the HFC backbone network, and uplink channel transmission of DWDM applied on the HFC network.
