清代李渔《闲情偶寄·词曲部》:“孔子云:‘益者三友:友直,友谅,友多闻。’‘多闻’吾不敢居,请自呼为‘直’‘谅’。”《文白对照全译闲情偶寄》(天津古籍出版社1996年版,李忠实译注)是这样译注的:“孔子说:‘有三种有益的朋友;一种是坦率的朋友,一种是能够理解你的朋友,一种是见识广博的朋友。’见识广博我不敢自居,但我自信是一个坦率的、善解人意的人。”从这段译文看,很明显,李先生把“友谅”的“谅”理解为“原谅”“谅解”了。
