王淀佐男,1934.年3月出生,辽宁锦县人。中共党员。世界著名的矿物加工与冶金工程专家。曾任中南工业大学(后改名为中南大学)校长、北京有色金属研究总院院长等职。原中国有色金属工业总公司和国家有色金属工业局高级科技顾问。现任中国工程院副院长、咨询工作委员会主任委员、北京有色金属研究总院名誉院长,中国科学院院士、中国工程院院士、美国国家工程科学院外籍院士、俄罗斯圣彼得堡工程院院士,北京科技大学、中南大学与东北大学教授、博士生导师,国家“十一五”规划专家委员会委员、国家教委科技委员会委员、中国有色金属学会第二、第三、第四届理事会副理事长、选矿学术委员会主任委员、美国矿冶学会会员、中国有色金属工业协会副会长,中国共产党第十三次全国代表大会代表、全国政协第八届、九届、十届委员。王淀佐从事矿物加工与冶金研究工作已有数十年,同时亦承担着繁重的教学任务,后期又在管理岗位上呕心沥血,无私奉献,在我国科研成就卓著的科学家中,是一位不可多得的“双肩挑”类型的专家。王淀佐1949年进入东北大学政治学院学习。次年任东北有色金属局选矿科技术员,后任冶金部有色金属管理局技术员。1956年加入中国共产党,同年夏天,响应党中央“向科学进军”的号召,考入中南矿冶学院(先后改名为中南工业大学、中南大学)。1961年毕业于
