本研究所以降低导光纤维的光损耗为目标,进行了为了确立使用石英系玻璃的制造技术的研究,实现了0.5分贝/公里以下的极低损耗的导光纤维。因此,明确了在比以前的所谓低损耗波长频带更长的波长颇带内存在着低损耗领域。本文介绍导光纤维降低损耗的变迁及其制造方法。
In order to reduce the light loss of the light guide fiber, the present study aims to establish a production technology using quartz glass and achieve extremely low loss of the light guide fiber of 0.5 dB / km or less. Therefore, it has been clarified that there is a field of low loss in a wavelength band longer than the wavelength of the so-called low-loss wavelength band in the past. This article describes the transition loss reduction of a light guide fiber and its manufacturing method.
