西方现代艺术自19世纪下半叶产生至20世纪末,已有100余年的历史,然而中国观众对它的了解仍十分有限。有些人对它抱着不屑一顾的态度,认为那纯粹是胡闹,只有写实才是艺术的正宗;也有人认为它既然作为一种艺术现象存在,必然有其存在的道理,但面对光怪陆离的现代艺术,却又不知如何来看待和评价这些同传统艺术大相径庭的现代作品;还有的人跟在西方现代艺术后面盲目地崇拜和模仿。的确,对西方现代艺术的评价和认识已成为摆在每一个关心艺术的现代人面前的重要课题。 Western modern art has been in existence for more than 100 years from the second half of the 19th century to the end of the 20th century. However, Chinese audiences still have a limited understanding of it. Some people hold a dismissive attitude toward it and think that it is purely nonsense. Realism is the art’s authenticity. Some people think that since it exists as an artistic phenomenon, it must have its own existence, but in the face of bizarre Modern art, however, does not know how to treat and evaluate these modern works that are very different from the traditional art. Others worship and imitate blindly behind western modern art. Indeed, the evaluation and recognition of Western modern art has become an important topic for every modern person concerned with art.
