25 43 is the latest combination of the newly developed hybrid eggplant in Tianjin Vegetable Research Institute, which is suitable for early spring protection and early maturing cultivation in North China. For four consecutive years from 1997 to 2000, demonstration planting was carried out in Hebei, Shandong, Shanxi, Shaanxi, Inner Mongolia, Henan and Tianjin, respectively, showing excellent characteristics and being well received by farmers.
