法国芭蕾起源于意大利,降生在17世纪后期路易十四的宫廷,18世纪日臻完美,19世纪末逐步衰落,20世纪下半叶重回世界舞台,成为法国文化推广的一面大旗。在三百多年的发展历程中,法国芭蕾作为法国文化思潮的积极见证者,不同于建筑、美术这些传统艺术,它更倾向于一种贵族的生活时尚,因而具有重大的文化、政治和社会背景。本文中,笔者拟通过追溯法国芭蕾的发展演变历程,探析芭蕾发展史与法国社会之间息息相关的紧密联系。 French ballet originates in Italy and was born in the court of Louis XIV in the late 17th century. It was perfected in the 18th century and gradually declined in the late 19th century. It returned to the world stage in the second half of the 20th century and became the banner of French cultural promotion. During more than three hundred years of development, the French ballet, as a positive witness of the French cultural trend, is different from the traditional art of architecture and fine arts. It prefers a kind of aristocratic lifestyle and thus has great cultural, political and social values background. In this article, I intend to retrospect the development and evolution of the French ballet, to explore the close relationship between the history of ballet and the French society.
