2012年上半年,上海邮政调整了市区邮政机构的设置和更改了邮资机机号代码的设置方式。一、市区邮政机构设置的调整为了适应上海城市建设和社会经济发展的需要,推动邮政更好地融合、服务于地方经济社会的发展,上海邮政决定调整市区邮政机构设置,建立与行政区划对应的市区邮政分支机构。这是上海邮政推出的一项重大的战略举措。市区邮政机构设置的调整从2012年3月开始实施。上海市市区邮政机构原分为市南、市西和市北3个区局,现予撤销。原市南区局由于南市区和卢湾区已并入黄浦区,仅留有徐汇区,现设立徐汇区局;原市西区局分别设立黄浦区局、普陀区局和市西区局(涵盖静安、长宁两个行政区域);原市北区局分设闸北、虹口和杨浦三个区局。这样市区邮政机构由原来3个区
