I have been using two key words, “watch control” and “visual order,” to describe the current situation of visual culture in China in the past century. The status quo I am talking about includes not only the usual art and photography, but also the visual presentation in movies, television and the stage, including the costumes and hairstyles of all people, including the daily language of body and gestures, the context surrounding these cultural representations, Such as scenery, landscape and color. As for the visual expression in the media, it is in the meanings of these two key words that it can restore the essence of its social mobilization.
