Zollinger及Ellison在1955报告二例具有下述三种主要病状的病人:(1)严重的消化性溃疡,(2)胃分泌过多,(3)胰腺的非β胰岛细胞瘤。在这之前文献中曾有类似的报导,但Zollinger及Ellison首先提出胰岛细胞瘤所分泌的某种激素(当时认为是高血糖素glucagon)可能是引起胃大量分泌的原因,指出胰岛细胞瘤与消化性溃疡的关系,故被称为Zollinger-Ellison综合症、简称ZES。此后文献中病例不断增加,1964年
Zollinger and Ellison reported two cases of patients with the following three major conditions in 1955: (1) severe peptic ulcer, (2) excessive gastric secretion, and (3) non-beta islet cell tumor of the pancreas. A similar report was reported in the literature before this, but Zollinger and Ellison first proposed that some of the hormones secreted by islet cell tumors (at the time considered to be glucagon) might be the cause of massive gastric secretion, indicating that islet cell tumors and digestion The relationship between ulcers, it is called Zollinger-Ellison syndrome, referred to as ZES.
