In the face of preventable disease outbreaks, public health experts need to beat those who refuse to get vaccinated. In July 2013, public health officials in Wales, United Kingdom were finally relieved. The epidemic of measles which had been ravaged for eight months in that country and infected more than 1,200 people, resulting in the hospitalization of 88 people and the death of one person, was finally brought under control. However, the brief suspension was brief and only a few months later, the outbreak was the second in the same area, with an additional 36 cases by mid-November.
