In the heat treatment, titanium carbide vapor deposition process is determined by the State Planning Commission one of the key research projects. Based on the arrangement of the Guangzhou Science and Technology Commission, Guangzhou Institute of Electrical and Mechanical Industry started the research on this new heat treatment process in 1977.
