Xenohormesis explains why secondary metabolites produced by environmental stresses in plants increase the stress tolerance and survival chances of feeding animals, believing that under natural selection pressure animals retain the ability to sense these stress signaling molecules and thus activate evolutionary conservation Sexual cellular stress response mechanism to improve adversity adaptability. On the basis of introducing the concept and mechanism of Xenohormesis effect and analyzing the relationship between plants and insects and human Xenohormesis effect, this paper elaborates the Xenohormesis effect of traditional Chinese medicine by taking Ginseng as an example. It is believed that the Xenohormesis theory can be used to understand the biological effects of traditional Chinese medicine from the perspective of evolution and ecology Essence of Chinese medicine modernization has an important value.
