印度1号芒(又名秋芒)是华南几个省(区)推广种植的芒果良种之一.1963年引入我所试种,试种结果,适应性较强,花期也长,有一年两次开花结果的特性,可采收到少量冬果,有栽培意义.但两性花比率不高,影响果实产量.提高其两性花比率,对印度1号芒确保丰产稳产有直接关系.因此,我们于1978年底至79年进行了提高两性花比率的试验.试验初步结果:在冬季采用剪顶,剪顶加环状剥皮2/3和喷射矮壮素1000PPM、1500PPM两个不同浓度处理均能提高两性花比率,提高幅度分别为对照(无处理,下同)的299.5%、372.2%、365.7%、288.4%.在春季开花时期采用喷射α—萘乙酸200PPM和1%尿素液,也能提高两性花比率,分别为对照的352.7%和300.4%.
