地名管理是国家行政管理的重要组成部分,是一项政治性、政策性、科学性较强的工作。它涉及面较广,同城乡建设、国防建设、公安交通、军事科研、外事旅游、邮电通讯、新闻出版等社会各个领域和人民群众的日常生活息息相关。地名管理是依据地名法规、实现地名标准化的重要手段,地名管理法规则是通过地名管理实现地名法制化建设的重要内容,二者相辅相成,缺一不可。只有建立健全地名管理法规,才能将地名管理工作纳入规范化、法制化的轨道,才能保证地名管理健康有序地发展。
Place name management is an important part of state administration, is a political, policy, scientific and strong work. It involves a wide range of daily life in all fields of society, including urban and rural construction, national defense construction, public security traffic, military research, foreign travel, post and telecommunications, press and publication, and other people's daily life.
