作为深圳创新科技投资管理集团的总裁,身处改革前沿,得创业投资风气之先的陈玮,较早触摸到了海外创业投资发展轨迹。在坚持区域化和专业化发展战略的同时,公司较早成立国际业务部,聘用在海外从事投资业的高级人才,学习和借鉴境外创业投资机构成功运作的经验,与欧美、日本、南韩、新加坡及台湾、香港等国家和地区的创投机构广泛接触与交流,积极探索开展对外合作业务,寻找合作机会。陈玮说,在当时,好多国家的媒体都报道,在中国作创业投资的人不超过5个。他听到这话心想,这5个人肯定不在“创新投”。所以他希望利用海外的平台为自己培养一批力量。 在与海外创投机构广泛接触与交流过程中,类似美国顾问银行和台湾中华开发银行一样的创投模式吸引了陈玮。陈玮的考虑是,希望在合作上前进一大步。他先后和20多家创业机构接触过,因为创业投资主要来自美国,所以他特别想和美国的创投机构接触,特别是想知道他们作创投基金管理的经验。
