工蜂分泌的蜂王浆是蜂王的一生食料。其中除富含多种营养物质外,还含有至少26种游离脂肪酸,现已鉴定出壬酸、癸酸等12种及5种酯化的脂肪酸。1975年波特安特(A. Batenallolt)报告,从蜂王浆的乙醚提取部份中的类脂部份,得到一种占类脂部分54～56％的脂肪酸,其分子为C_(10)H_(18)O_3;化学结构是反式—10—羟基—△~2—癸烯酸(trans-10-hydroxy-△~2-Decenoicacid),简称10—HDA。结构式为:OH-(CH_2)_7-CH=VH-C(?)
