点焊电极是保证点焊质量的重要零件,它的主要功能有:(1)向工件传导电流;(2)向工件传递压力;(3)迅速导散焊接区热量.基于电极的上述功能,就要求制造电极的材料应具有足够高的导电率、导热度和高温硬度,电极的结构必须有足够的强度和刚度,以及充分冷却的条件.过去,我厂使用的电极为锥形电极.由于收割机部件80%是薄铁皮件,点焊机利用率特别高,电极消耗极快.多少年来,用废的电极都当作废铜卖掉了,浪费很大.为节约紫铜的消耗,1994年以来,我们根据电极的主要功能及要求,对用废的电极进行了改制.首先将几种不同规格的电极加工成电极套(图1及下表),使电极套尾部保持原来与电极杆连接的形状;再加工一个帽状电极头(图2),使其与电极套连接.当电极磨损之后,只需要更换其中一小部分,即
