中国儒家伦理观念哺育下形成的中国传统社会是一个熟人社群,这个熟人社群主要依靠亲情维系。在现代化进程中,熟人社群必然解体,代之以陌生人的社会。本文认为传统的亲情不足以维系崭新的陌生人社会,文明的陌生人社会除了法治没有出路。
Chinese traditional society formed under the nurturing of Chinese Confucian ethics is an acquaintance community, which depends mainly on affection. In the process of modernization, the acquaintance community inevitably disintegrates, replacing it with a stranger’s society. This article argues that traditional relatives are not enough to maintain a brand new stranger society. Civilized stranger society has no alternative but to the rule of law.
