杭州是我国著名的旅游城市,近年外国游客每年都超过100万,他们会住进杭城各个涉外酒店。酒店简介的英译作为对外宣传的一个重要窗口,译文问题颇多,可谓司空见惯。该文试从拼写层面、用词层面、句子层面、段落层面进行探讨,寻求酒店简介英译质量提高的尝试性研究。
Hangzhou is a famous tourist city in China. In recent years, more than one million foreign tourists visit each year, and they will stay in various foreign hotels in Hangzhou. English translation of hotel introduction as an important window of foreign propaganda, many translation problems, can be described as commonplace. This article tries to explore the quality of English translation of hotel introduction from the aspects of spelling level, word level, sentence level and paragraph level.
