Two new compounds were isolated from Chrysanthemum (Chrysanthemumboreale). The dried chamomile leaves and stems (3 kg) were extracted with chloroform, and the chloroform extract (116 g) was dissolved in chloroform and washed with saturated lead acetate solution to remove chlorophyll. The organic layer was washed with brine, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and concentrated to give a dark brown residue (102 g).
