认知语法语法配价理论对英语形容词句式的语义建构做出了强有力的解释。一个形容词句式表达不同的语义,是由语言运用者对相关实体或事件的特征概念化的不同方式造成的。不同的概念化方式在语言运用者头脑里产生了不同的意象,表征不同的语义结构。语言运用者对同一事态不同的概念化方式从认知的视角解释了同一句法结构象征不同的语义结构的原因所在。
Cognitive Grammar Grammatical Price Theory makes a powerful explanation of the semantic construction of English adjectives. An adjective sentence expressing different semantics is caused by the different ways in which language users conceptualize the features of the related entities or events. Different ways of conceptualization produce different images in the minds of language users, characterizing different semantic structures. The conceptualization of language users’ different ways of thinking about the same situation explains the reason why the same syntactic structure symbolizes different semantic structures from a cognitive perspective.
